FlexCoah Receives Mexico’s First Cessna SkyCourier Aircraft
FlexCoah has taken delivery of the first Cessna SkyCourier aircraft delivered in Mexico, marking a new stage in the company’s logistics strategy and expanding its air freight capabilities nationwide. The aircraft, a dedicated freighter variant, will be operated by Altair, FlexCoah’s aviation subsidiary, and is intended to complement the company’s existing ground-based freight operations.
The delivery represents the first entry of the Cessna SkyCourier into the Mexican market. The aircraft is designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation, a subsidiary of Textron, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker TXT. According to the manufacturer, the SkyCourier has been developed to support cargo and passenger operations that require high payload capacity, operational flexibility, and efficiency on short and regional routes.
“The Cessna SkyCourier’s combination of reliability, payload capacity and mission flexibility makes it a powerful asset for operators looking to scale their operations while maintaining cost-efficiency. The delivery of the Cessna SkyCourier to FlexCoah reflects the aircraft’s growing role in transforming regional logistics,” said Lannie O’Bannion, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Textron Aviation.
FlexCoah was founded in 2009 in Saltillo, Coahuila, and has built its business around long-haul cargo transportation and local distribution services across Mexico. Until now, the company’s operations have focused primarily on ground transportation. The addition of the SkyCourier introduces an air cargo component that is intended to reduce transit times and provide additional routing options for customers with time-sensitive or geographically complex logistics needs.
The newly delivered SkyCourier will join FlexCoah’s existing fleet of Cessna Caravan aircraft. The company stated that this combination will allow it to support large-scale freight movements while maintaining flexibility in how shipments are handled and transported. The SkyCourier’s freighter configuration is designed to accommodate standardized cargo, supporting integration with established logistics and distribution processes.
“For years, our company has been dedicated to moving goods safely and reliably on the road. By adding aircraft to our fleet, we’re also opening the skies for our customers,” said Salvador de las Fuentes, General Manager, FlexCoah.
He added that the decision to incorporate air transport is driven by customer demand for shorter delivery windows and broader geographic reach. “This investment allows us to offer faster delivery times, connect with new markets, and give our clients the flexibility to choose between ground or air transportation depending on their needs. It is about evolving with our customers and making sure we continue to be their trusted logistics partner, whether by highway or by air,” de las Fuentes said.
