Regal Rexnord, Chihuahua Reaffirm Investment at Farnborough

Chihuahua Governor Maria Campos met with top executives from industrial manufacturer Regal Rexnord  at the Farnborough International Airshow to reaffirm a strategic partnership aimed at expanding aerospace manufacturing in Northern Mexico.

The bilateral meeting focused on evaluating state support, regulatory compliance, and economic incentives for Regal Rexnord’s current footprint in Chihuahua City. The multinational conglomerate operates two manufacturing plants within the BAFAR Industrial Park, housing both its Aerospace division and its Industrial Power division.

Since establishing its regional operations in 2024, Regal Rexnord has invested US$13.8 million in the state, creating nearly 200 high-value industrial jobs focused on the production of electric motors and power transmission components.

During the airshow, Governor Campos held discussions with key corporate leaders, including Kevin Long, executive vice president and president of the Automation and Motion Control segment; Weldon Abbott, president of Aerospace Solutions; and Allison Maginot, vice president of Trade Compliance, Government Affairs, and Sustainability.

Talks centered on ongoing institutional backing, legal advisement, and tax incentives provided by the Chihuahua state government. Corporate executives outlined operational inquiries and conditions necessary to support future facility expansions and workforce development in the region.

State officials framed the meeting around maintaining economic predictability for foreign direct investment, particularly within Mexico's export manufacturing sector.

"The trust you have placed in us is our commitment to continue delivering. This is a clear example of what we seek to build in this administration: legal certainty and confidence in your investments," Campos said during the meeting.

The agreement comes as Chihuahua strengthens its standing in international trade. The state currently ranks as Mexico’s top exporting economy in the aerospace sector, achieving a record high of more than US$109 billion in total exports in 2025.

State authorities and Regal Rexnord executives indicated that continued administrative guidance and legal frameworks will remain key mechanisms to sustain the conglomerate's two BAFAR Industrial Park facilities and facilitate potential operational growth in the state capital.
