TechOps Mexico Trains 68 in Queretaro Talent Program

TechOps Mexico, one of Latin America’s largest aircraft maintenance providers, has completed the training of 68 individuals through the Talent Training Scholarship Program, a government-led initiative in Queretaro focused on developing local human capital for strategic sectors, including aerospace.

The program, implemented by the state government and conducted at TechOps Mexico’s facilities at Querétaro International Airport (AIQ), trains participants aged 18 and over in technical areas essential to the aviation industry. These include engine systems, aircraft structures, operational safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and aeronautical regulations.

“Today we can proudly say that the goal has been achieved. Each one of you represents the future of this industry,” said Brandon Jáuregui, General Manager, TechOps Mexico, during the program’s closing ceremony.

The training model is based on a tripartite scheme: public funding from the government, technical training provided by private companies, and guaranteed employment for trainees. In this case, TechOps delivered direct technical instruction, while participants received a monthly scholarship of MX$6,000 (US$350) from the state, enabling them to focus on their training without financial strain.

“Querétaro does not compete with low-cost labor. We bet on qualified talent, backed by a competitive ecosystem that guarantees labor peace, legal certainty, and respect for the rule of law. I firmly believe that with this skilled workforce, committed individuals, and socially responsible companies, Querétaro has no limits,” said Mauricio Kuri, Governor, Queretaro.

Governor Kuri emphasized the importance of workforce development in maintaining Queretaro’s competitiveness as an investment destination. He called technical training “one of the most powerful tools to create equal opportunities.”

The program is part of a broader state effort. Since 2023, Querétaro has implemented 170 training initiatives and supported the job placement of 45,000 individuals in formal employment. The scholarships have played a key role by providing consistent financial support to participants, reducing economic barriers to accessing technical education.
