
Bimbo: Best Mexican Company in 2023

Grupo Bimbo was the highest-ranking Mexican company in the World’s Best Companies of 2023 report published by Time Magazine, in partnership with Statista, the leading market research provider. The company ranked fourth in the food and beverages category, following Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Procter & Gamble. This was the first year that Bimbo was included in the ranking, securing the 113th position out of the 750 companies evaluated worldwide.
The methodology employed to evaluate the companies was based on a comprehensive analysis focused on three key dimensions: employee satisfaction, financial growth in revenue and ESG achievements. Data collected in these three areas was assessed, consolidated and weighted in a scoring framework, with a maximum attainable score of 100 points. The ranking features companies from diverse industries including retail, manufacturing, engineering, automotive, services, among others. The Top 5 companies were Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet, Meta and Accenture, all with overall scores above 94 points.
At the national level, Grupo Bimbo leads the list of the Top 5 Mexican companies with an overall score of 87. Banorte reached the 242nd position with a 84.57 score, followed by FEMSA in 285th place with 83.87 points, Liverpool ranked 294th with a score of 83.79 and América Móvil in 348th place with 83.07 points.
