FEMSA received an "AA" rating in the 2024 MSCI ESG Ratings, an improvement from its previous "A" rating. This marks a significant step forward in its management of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities, reports the company.

The MSCI ESG Ratings, developed by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), evaluate companies on their performance across various ESG criteria. The ratings range from "AAA" for top performers to "CCC" for the lowest. FEMSA's "AA" rating reflects its resilience in addressing financially material ESG risks.

FEMSA was recognized as an ESG leader in areas such as packaging materials and waste, water stress, and health and safety within its industry. The company's improved rating highlights its effectiveness in managing ESG challenges through policies, programs, and measurable outcomes.

"At FEMSA, we understand the importance of integrating ESG practices into our business model, and we remain dedicated to making continuous improvements in this area. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility," said Víctor Treviño, Director of Energy and Sustainability, FEMSA.
