Source.ag Launches Pre-Season Simulations for Greenhouse Planning

The Netherlands-based agritech company Source.ag introduced Pre-Season Simulations for its Source Cultivate platform. This update will allow growers to simulate an entire cultivation period, enhancing the efficiency of greenhouse operations by enabling strategic planning before the season begins.

Since its launch in July 2024, Source Cultivate has achieved an 84% accuracy rate for yield forecasts made up to eight weeks in advance during the previous season. Source.ag says this has been key to helping growers optimize yield forecasting and sales operations. 

The latest version of Source Cultivate enables greenhouse growers to compare various scenarios to select the most economically advantageous, least risky, or most sustainable strategy for the upcoming season. Simulations include adjustments to artificial lighting plans, temperature and sunlight variations, and targets for plant stem density and fruit pruning. Additionally, the tool allows for monitoring growth factors to ensure plant health throughout the process. “We are thrilled to take greenhouse operational efficiency to the next level with the pre-season simulations launch for Source Cultivate.
