Q: What role does the automotive industry play in SAKTËSI’s operations?

FS: Around 60-70 percent of our portfolio is focused on the automotive industry. We work across many sectors but most are related to the automotive industry, considering direct and indirect suppliers.

Q: How can SAKTËSI’s solutions make technology implementation easier for companies that are not used to advanced levels of technification?

OS: We help our clients understand that our service can make their processes easier. The environment generated in the auto transport segment requires fuel, fleet and maintenance controls that SAKTËSI can provide. We generate significant savings and greater profit margins. As for the reticence of the industry to adopt new technologies, companies need to understand that their investment will be followed by an ROI.

FS: SAKTËSI has focused on delivering integral solutions for more than 10 years while evolving alongside the needs of the industry. Since we are developers and innovators, clients can approach us and we do not charge for system integrations. We do not charge for our clients’ ideas. On the contrary, we thank them for their ideas and we provide them with the tools to implement them. This allows us to remain in the market with state-of-the-art services. We have already been working on NOM-087 for driving control for over a year. The NOM will be the standard starting January 2020, but we have talked directly with clients, advising them to invest not just to comply with the norm, but to have broader applications through our different services. This is the added value they can have to compete with the big players in the industry.

Q: What challenges are fleet companies facing in the country?

OS: The market has changed a lot. One of the main factors is the current federal government. It is evident that economic constraints are present across different industries. We are feeling there is a cautious impasse in the private sector and we are waiting to see where we are heading.

FS: Costs remain an issue for companies. No matter how much ROI we present or even successful cases where investment is returned in three or four months, there is still reticence from companies to embrace technology. What we have done in this regard is to provide an installation with our suggested solution for the company and offer it with total satisfaction warranty. We sign a first-approach letter in which we specify what we are going to implement. If I can demonstrate to you what you need and that it works, the commitment is to negotiate the continuity of the project. If you are unsatisfied and we do not fulfill the terms of the first-approach letter, we leave. So far, we have had 100 percent customer satisfaction. Naturally, we perform these tests and pilots with customers that have the ambition to grow. Mindset is important.

Q: What are some of SAKTËSI’s successful experiences in technology implementation?

FS: We have a client that works in central and southeast Mexico. The company said it required three fuel tanks for its trips, but our study showed they just needed two. We needed to demonstrate that the extra tank was not necessary. For the pilot, we prepared five units that traveled from Leon to Merida, improving the overall performance from 1.96km per liter to 2.4km per liter. Operators spread the word about the new system in their trucks and non-intervened units started to increase their level of efficiency as well. Once you overcome the price-barrier, clients see you as an ally.

OS: There are companies that have around 1,000 units with us. We have seen exponential growth within those companies. Today, they have ISO certifications, but it all started with the absolute control. For example, one client is in personnel transportation, and they have had several problems knowing if staff had arrived on time. The company implemented remote attendance checks, so from the moment employees board the bus the plant knows if it can count on them. We are growing 15-20 percent annually with this company.

Q: What innovations can the market expect from SAKTËSI?

FS: Since we are an innovation-developer business, we started with the automation of some internal processes. We have a department called Brain, which specializes in customer service, logistics and R&D. It has developed Tesi, a personal smart assistant that performs all our basic and intermediate services. We launched Tesi at Hannover Messe Leon 2019. Through Telegram, Tesi will keep in touch with our customers 24/7 and she can address up to 200,000 requests at the same time. It is a very interesting search engine we have integrated into our systems. Moreover, we are testing Tesi as an aftersales trainer. While Tesi is focused on basic and intermediate requests, our human talent will now be specialized in solving red alerts through a personalized adviser that each one of our customers has.

Looking forward, we are starting to get into IoT regarding smart cities and building automation. One of our projects is to finish our offices, which will be sustainable under an energy cogeneration scheme with solar panels. We are also opening our options in the aeronautics sector where we aim to get into airport controls.

OS: We are listening to the beats of the market. Punto a Punto is an application registered and developed by SAKTËSI that provides a tool that companies did not have before. This proximity to our clients has allowed us to keep growing. Our key is to have the best tools to keep providing accuracy. Currently, we are developing a feature to tell a company if its GPS is being deactivated through a jammer device, in which case, it can take action immediately to prevent any robbery.

SAKTËSI is a family-owned company with more than 10 years in the market. It is focused on specialized and integral telematics solutions based on cutting-edge technology for resource optimization.
