Automotive Exports Slow Down in April

Despite the decrease in automotive exports in April, companies such as Valeo are expanding their plants in Mexico. Moreover, Audi reached its 1-million-vehicle production milestone on the verge of celebrating its 10-year anniversary at its San Jose Chiapa plant. In addition, the armored-vehicle industry grew 8% in 2022.

Automotive Exports Drop 10% in April

Mexico’s automotive exports slowed down in April 2023, due to the uncertainty of a possible recession period in the US that would affect the manufacturing sector. During this month, automotive exports totaled US$13.3 billion, their lowest level since July, 2022. 

 

VEMO Prevents Over 2,400MT of Emissions in 2022
