The highly anticipated Automotive Supplier 2023 has been officially inaugurated. This prominent event, organized by the Nuevo Leon Automotive Cluster (CLAUT) and taking place at Cintermex on June 6-7, brings together renowned companies from the automotive sector and representatives from various governments and universities.

The Automotive Supplier 2023 event serves as a significant platform for fostering alliances within the automotive industry, not only at a national level but also on an international scale. This event features the participation of renowned buyers from the automotive sector, including companies such as Yazaki, Navistar, DENSO, Sanmina, Metalsa and FORVIA, among others. These industry-leading companies can take advantage of the opportunity provided by the event to establish strategic contacts. Their presence demonstrates the value and appeal the event holds for key players in the industry, solidifying it as a relevant space for promoting excellence in the automotive supply chain.

The Automotive Supplier 2023 event coincides with the inaugural presentation of America's Mobility of the Future, a trade fair dedicated to exploring future mobility, intelligent transportation and sustainable logistics. This event is currently being held in Latin America for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the region's automotive and mobility industries. Through these two events, industry professionals, experts and enthusiasts have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the latest advancements and discussions surrounding the future of mobility.

Significant investments have been made in Nuevo Leon over the past two years to strengthen the automotive industry. For example, Tesla recently announced a new Gigafactory in Nuevo Leon and numerous suppliers have chosen to establish in the state to cater to Tesla’s plant in Austin, Texas. One such supplier is Quanta, which has successfully settled in Santa Catarina. Additionally, Forvia, a company resulting from the merger of Faurecia and Hella, has established its plant in Apodaca for the production of vehicle interiors. ZF, another prominent player, has set up both a plant and a R&D Center in Apodaca, with Tesla being one of its key customers.

These investments in Nuevo Leon were driven by several factors. First, the region boasts a skilled workforce and a robust non-local supply base, making it an attractive ecosystem for these companies. The organized nature of Nuevo Leon's automobile industry played a pivotal role in facilitating their decision to settle in this state. The presence of trained personnel and a favorable business environment proved instrumental in attracting these new investments, which further strengthened the automotive landscape of Nuevo Leon, explained Manuel Montoya, CEO, CLAUT, in MBN.
