BOS México’s plant in Irapuato, Guanajuato, received the 2024 Supplier Quality Excellence Award from General Motors (GM), an annual recognition given to suppliers that meet the automaker’s highest standards for quality, delivery, and service.
As part of the award presentation, GM executives Carlos Leyra, Benito Araujo, and Johana Nicols visited the BOS facility. The delegation toured production lines, reviewed components manufactured on-site, and attended an exhibition featuring a GM vehicle that incorporates BOS-made parts. Following the tour, BOS was formally presented with the award in a ceremony attended by its workforce.
BOS Mexico emphasized that the award reflects a systematic approach to manufacturing and continuous improvement rather than isolated achievements. “This achievement is not a coincidence. It is the result of hundreds of hands working with precision, responsibility and commitment,” the company stated. BOS also highlighted that production excellence depends on cross-team collaboration and adherence to strict quality controls.
The Supplier Quality Excellence Award is granted only to suppliers that consistently maintain top performance throughout the year. It recognizes strict compliance with delivery schedules, defect-free processes, and strong alignment with GM’s operational requirements. For BOS, the distinction underscores both its industry standing and its commitment to sustaining high standards.
“Excellence is not a final destination, but an attitude that must be assumed every day,” the company added. BOS views the award as an incentive to continue improving and innovating its production systems and processes, aiming to exceed the expectations of GM and the broader automotive market.
BOS México is part of the German-based BOS Group, a global supplier specializing in mechatronic systems and interior solutions for vehicles. The Irapuato plant has operated for over 20 years and serves as a strategic production center in North America. The facility manufactures components that integrate into vehicles assembled by international OEMs, including General Motors.
