Q: How have the services offered by 3C Metrology evolved during its 16 years in the market?

A: We have always taken an independent approach to both software and instruments, allowing 3C Metrology services and the software we provide, Metrolog X4, to be compatible with all the equipment available in the market. This gives our customers the flexibility to make decisions based on their preferences and to not depend entirely on one brand.

The company has 16 years of experience representing Metrologic Group in Mexico, which has allowed us to offer end-to-end solutions. We have all the right tools and valuable experience to close the gap in the inspection cycle between the different stages of the process. This requires us to offer a flexible value proposition.

Q: What is the added value for companies when using integrated software services such as 3C Metrology?

A: Integrated software services allow companies to integrate all the tools they need during the measurement cycle. These include tools for preparation, planning, offline programming, online inspection and the entire measurement cycle. Customers can evaluate the measurement cycle from start to finish.

The degree of adoption of Industry 4.0 depends on the business; some have embraced it, while others are resisting. Overall, the country is beginning to see the benefits of Industry 4.0. One of its biggest advantages is that it allows companies to predict the stability of the manufacturing value chain.

Q: How does 3C Metrology offer reliable solutions to Mexico’s automotive industry?

A: Historically, most of our customers come from the automotive sector. All automotive OEMs and their suppliers use dimensional quality control and are always searching for ways to improve productivity and be more efficient. This is where digitalization can improve tools and processes.

Digitalization mainly focuses on automation, allowing for more efficient manufacturing cycles. Also, the data generated in each step can be used to make better decisions throughout the entire manufacturing process.

Q: What is the role of certifications like the Federal Law on Metrology and Standardization in ensuring 3C Metrology’s quality?

A: This certification tells our customers that by contracting and using our tools, they can ensure that their processes comply with all quality requirements. Since we are a mature supplier in the automotive value chain, we follow strict rules on a daily basis in all of our activities. We also have a continuous improvement policy that helps us improve at every level.

Q: What are the new technology trends emerging within the industry?

A: Traditionally, metrology has always been the last step of the whole manufacturing process  but the new technologies and digitization allow for quality control throughout the entire assembly line. Our software Metrolog X4 and Silma X4 are fully compatible with the equipment integrated into the production line, allowing our customers to make decisions before they have a final product, saving them time and money.

Q: What are 3C Metrology’s objectives for the next year?

A: We are capitalizing on traditional tools that still play an important role in Mexico’s manufacturing industry, combining them with all the applications of the new digital era within the production processes. The aim is to build a more sustainable future.
