GM Honors Mexican Suppliers for Excellence and Corporate Values
General Motors recently recognized several suppliers based in Mexico, including HIROTEC México, Harman, Magna, Schaeffler, and Continental, emphasizing Mexico's key role in the company’s global supply chain.
Now celebrating its 32nd year, the annual event honors suppliers for their exceptional performance in areas like safety, innovation, and project execution. GM’s selection process not only considers performance metrics but also evaluates how closely suppliers align with the company’s values.
Among the recipients of GM’s Overdrive Award, which recognizes suppliers for outstanding performance in challenging circumstances, were Magna International, Schaeffler, and Auria Solutions. Notably, Auria was honored for its quick recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene in September 2024, when it stepped in to assist the local community.
“Suppliers that go above and beyond in critical moments set the benchmark for operational excellence,” GM stated during the event. The recognition was based on comprehensive performance data and alignment with GM’s corporate values, with a global, cross-functional team reviewing supplier contributions over the past year.
