JETOUR Introduces G700 Plug-In Hybrid SUV to Mexican Market
JETOUR SOUEAST Mexico announced the arrival of the JETOUR G700, a new plug-in hybrid SUV, that introduces a next-generation luxury and electrified model under the brand’s growing lineup.
The announcement was made during JETOUR’s annual dealer meeting, where Johnny Fang, CEO, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to growth in Mexico through 2026. Fang said the brand’s strategy focuses on making premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) accessible while combining off-road performance with hybrid technology.
The G700’s debut follows its international unveiling and forms part of JETOUR’s broader expansion strategy across global markets. Built on the new GAIA modular architecture, the SUV is designed to support dual powertrains and withstand demanding driving conditions. The GAIA platform uses a reinforced body-on-frame chassis to increase structural strength, improve impact absorption and enhance towing and load capacities.
Measuring nearly 5.2 m in length, 2 m in width and 1.9 m in height, the G700 features a three-row configuration. Its air suspension system and electronic damping control (CDC) adjust to different terrains and driving situations. The SUV can raise or lower its body for off-road conditions, achieving a maximum ground clearance of 320 millimeters and a wading depth of 970 millimeters.
According to Saúl Espinosa, Vice President, JETOUR SOUEAST, the G700 maintains maneuverability and comfort through systems such as four-wheel steering, adjustable suspension and “transparent” cameras that improve visibility. The interior integrates physical controls, a rotary dial and ergonomic seating for driving comfort.
In line with JETOUR’s “electric-first” design philosophy, the G700’s powertrain combines two electric motors with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine optimized for hybrid use. The engine produces 208 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque, while the combined output of the system reaches up to 751 horsepower and 836 pound-feet. A two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) supports a total driving range of up to 1,400 kilometers.
