The Japanese automaker Nissan announced the release of the app “Mi Nissan” to connect users with their Nissan vehicles, giving them access to the information they need to take care of their car at any time of the day through their smartphone. This app allows users to review the general condition, service history and warranty status of the vehicle, while granting them the flexibility to connect with local dealers and schedule service appointments.
“As Nissan, we have focused on our customers in each of our strategies, so it is a priority to offer increasingly integrated, personalized and exciting experiences for our consumers,” said Claudia Rodríguez, Director Strategic Projects, Nissan Mexico. This service is available to all vehicles from the Japanese brand, starting with its low entry model: the Nissan March.
Rodríguez also highlighted the importance of safe mobility through technology and how the company has worked to achieve it. “Our Nissan Intelligent Mobility brand vision focuses on bringing people to a better world where mobility is safer and connected. Over the past few years we have accelerated the creation and improvement of our products and services in order to enable the full satisfaction of our customers' needs.”
Nissan Mexico also recently reached an agreement with the Sole Union of Automotive Industry Workers of the State of Aguascalientes to grant workers at Plant A2 a 7 percent retroactive increase in salary and other benefits, reports Cluster Industrial. Nissan also agreed to grant 170 more scholarships to employee’s children for a total of 350 scholarships.
Nissan started operations in Mexico in 1961. Since then, the company has been a powerhouse in the country. Last week, Nissan Mexico welcomed COO Ashwani Gupta, who visited the plant to review the state of the US$700 million investment in the assembly plant in Aguascalientes, as reported by MBN.
“Mexico plays an important role within Nissan's global operations, both as one of the main markets for vehicle sales and as an export hub for dozens of markets around the world. This US$700 million investment will ensure that we remain leaders in Mexico, while delivering cutting-edge vehicles and technology that excite our customers around the world,” said Jérémie Papin, Member of the Board, Nissan Americas.
