The Nissan Versa has sold over 800,000 units in Mexico and is exported to more than 25 countries, solidifying its position as the leading compact sedan in the national market, according to Nissan Mexicana. In 2024 alone, the model sold 67,434 units, capturing 33.1% of its segment—an increase of 12,100 units compared with the previous year.

Since its launch in Mexico in 2011, the Versa has consistently ranked among the top three best-selling sedans and has led the compact sedan segment since 2022. “Nissan Versa represents the best of Japanese engineering and Mexican talent. We are proud that a product made in Mexico has traveled thousands of roads inside and outside the country thanks to its quality, technology, and reliability,” said Rodrigo Centeno, president and CEO, Nissan Mexicana.

Manufactured in Mexico, the Versa has contributed to 17 consecutive years of leadership for Nissan Mexicana, reinforcing the company’s role as a key player in the national automotive industry. Its success stems from a combination of technology, design, efficiency, and competitive value, appealing to both private consumers and fleet operators.

The Versa has earned multiple industry recognitions, including Car and Driver Editors’ Choice “Best Subcompact Car” in 2023 and 2024 and two consecutive Fleet LATAM Awards for “Best Car for Fleets” in Latin America. These accolades highlight its interior space, fuel efficiency, driving quality, and value-for-money proposition.
