Siemens Mexico is set to invest MX$900 million (US$52.7 million) over the next five years to expand production at its plant in Queretaro. The primary objective of the project is to double the production of electrical technology to meet the growing demand of industries, cities, and infrastructure, says the company in a press conference.

"The strategy around this project will allow Siemens to optimize and redesign its production locally, aiming to double its production capacity, consequently allowing for significant reductions in delivery times,” reads the press release.

Marco Cosío, Vice President of Smart Infrastructure, Siemens, highlights the importance of this project as part of the company's commitment to sustainable growth and digital transformation.

The initiative is expected to benefit Queretaro’s communities. Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, Minister of Sustainable Development  of Queretaro, highlights that the investment will bring economic growth and generate jobs.
