Tlaxcala Auto Sector Receives 50% Fee Subsidy

In an effort to bolster the automotive’s sector presence in Tlaxcala, the Ministry of Economic Development (SEDECO), the Tlaxcala’s Center Zone, and Puebla’s Automotive Cluster (CLAUZ) have introduced an initiative to subsidize 50% of the annual fees for automotive companies operating within the region.

The “Support for the Development of the Automotive Sector Program for 2024” was formalized through a signed agreement. The subsidy, overseen by Javier Marroquín Calderón, titular, SEDECO, is specifically aimed at companies affiliated with the automotive sector in Tlaxcala. According to Marroquín Calderón, the program's primary objective is to enhance Tlaxcala's position by strengthening value addition, competitiveness, and sustainability within automotive enterprises.

Jesús Rascón Celma, president, CLAUZ, highlights the program’s facilitative role in encouraging companies to affiliate with the organization, providing opportunities for increased engagement in vital economic sectors in Tlaxcala.

Mónica Doger, general director, CLAUZ, underscores the organization's role as central hub for the automotive industry in Tlaxcala and Puebla, with over 90 current members and a target of reaching approximately 115 affiliates by year-end.

Highlighting the program's benefits for the automotive industry and its role in sustaining momentum in job creation, investments, and exports, Rascón Selma emphasized the streamlined processes for company affiliation and enhanced participation in year-round activities resulting from the renewed collaboration.
