Valeo Group Expands in Mexico

Valeo Group will invest US$29 million to build a state-of-the-art production plant in Lerma, State of Mexico. This expansion showcases the region's allure for automotive manufacturers, while solidifying Valeo’s position as a key player in the industry and a trusted supplier of Stellantis. 

Valeo Group, a renowned player in the automotive industry, has chosen Mexico as a prime location for expanding its manufacturing operations. Alfredo del Mazo, State of Mexico’s Governor, recently announced Valeo Group's expansion plans in Mexico. This project not only brings economic benefits but also emphasizes Valeo's commitment to job creation and gender equality. 

By expanding its industry presence in Mexico, Valeo Group aims to solidify its role as a key supplier to Stellantis. Known for its portfolio of iconic brands, Stellantis relies on strategic partnerships with suppliers like Valeo to deliver high-quality products to the market. The establishment of the new production plant in Lerma will further strengthen Valeo's position as a trusted provider, enabling it to continue serving the OEM and meeting its evolving needs effectively.

This project is expected to generate 220 new employment opportunities, contributing to the local economy and providing individuals with stable and rewarding careers. Valeo is also committed to gender equality. Of the newly created jobs, 33% will be filled by women, promoting diversity and inclusivity within the workforce.

Valeo Group has already established a strong presence in Mexico, with 16 existing production plants and three research centers across the country. With a workforce of 12,500 employees, the company has been actively contributing to Mexico's automotive industry and its overall economic growth. The new plant in Lerma will further bolster Valeo's operations in the country, showcasing its long-term commitment to the Mexican market.
