The Mexican Association of Data Centers (MEXDC) and the Mexican Association of Construction Facilities Companies (AMERIC) have signed a collaboration agreement to develop training and certification strategies for the industry, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.

The agreement, shared through a press release, seeks to consolidate a robust value chain in the industry, leveraging AMERIC's over 50 years of experience in specialized facilities and MEXDC's ability to articulate professionalization initiatives. Adriana Rivera, Executive Director, MEXDC, says that the collaboration between the two associations is a key step toward achieving "talent excellence" in the industry.

"This alliance, which we have been pursuing for over a year, arises from the identification of common goals between both associations. We decided to join forces and move forward together towards excellence, consolidating a robust value chain for the Data Center industry in Mexico," says Rivera.

The growth of the data center sector in Mexico has generated a need for highly trained professionals in power, HVAC, and specialized systems installations. According to Ernesto Diaz, National President, AMERIC, this agreement will raise the standards of competence in various disciplines, ensuring that contractors in the sector meet the technical requirements of large projects in the country.

"There are many large data center projects in the country and for this reason we seek to join efforts with the MEXDC to professionalize contractors in the sector through certified training in competency standards," says Diaz.

This agreement adds to the strategic initiatives that MEXDC has promoted since its foundation, strengthening its position within the industry. The association has worked closely with government agencies and national and international entities to promote quality standards, innovation, and sustainable growth in the sector.

"If we want Mexico to be recognized as a first-world country, have the best projects, and do the best work, we must be prepared. We need professional and qualified companies, and AMERIC is committed to the professionalization and certification of contractors," says Diaz.
