xAI Raises US$6 Billion to Develop AI, Compete with ChatGPT

xAI, the AI company founded by Elon Musk, has secured US$6 billion in a funding round aimed at accelerating its development efforts. The funds will be used to enhance the company’s advanced infrastructure and position it to compete with OpenAI. The company plans to double the capacity of its supercomputer, Colossus, increasing its microchip count from 100,000 to 200,000.
