Work culture is undergoing a radical change globally. As never before, different generations of workers are coexisting and collaborating from different time zones and cities, which is implying the use of more and better platforms, such as Work Operating Systems that enhance new workflow capabilities, including advanced marketing solutions for managing and tracking a sales process from start to finish.

Companies are aiming to work in an increasingly digitized way: Gartner forecasts that global IT spending will exceed $4 trillion this year, which reflects that organizations are more aware than ever of the importance of adopting technologies that adapt to their needs and the way each of their employees work. However, in the face of this new scenario, a new question arises: how much will the use of more and more tools facilitate communication and collaboration?

Although solutions offered by technology help us to accomplish a specific task and are designed to "streamline our work dynamics," the use of too many platforms or apps can hinder our operational flow, generate wear and tear, such as app fatigue, and give rise to undesirable silos throughout the organization, which, by the way, represent a challenge for nine out of 10 companies.

Do you remember the last time you had to navigate between your email inbox, work chat or WhatsApp in search of an invoice, contact or important document? It's certainly a scenario as common as it is frustrating: research by Out of Office estimates that companies use up to 28 apps and/or tools to perform daily tasks like these, and that we navigate from one app to another up to 10 times a day in search of information we should have at hand; companies lose up to 32 days a year in productivity as a result.

With a large amount of information being generated every second from different sources and tools, processes slow down and prevent us from efficiently executing the most impactful tasks. As a result, the integration of a single workspace is emerging as a trend for companies that will begin to impact their work culture.

As businesses require a greater number of solutions, platforms like monday.com's Work OS offer an advantage because they allow users to group and leverage the potential of all the most-used work tools from a single location, thus generating a single source of truth that guarantees any worker access to the information they need without having to navigate between different tabs or log in to each platform individually.

By integrating apps such as Gmail, Outlook or Slack with monday.com, it is possible to transform emails and messages into actionable items that coordinate the next steps and processes of the entire team automatically. With Microsoft Teams, the items and changes in a document are transformed into notifications to work from both platforms without losing synchronization, while integrating Mailchimp and HubSpot allows teams to update contact lists and mailings for the entire organization, while obtaining statistics on the performance of your campaign from a dashboard that is open to the entire company.

This is not only synonymous with a much more proactive culture, but also a more transparent one that allows the teams to make better decisions based on first-hand data. With every project or task being performed in real time in front of their eyes and on a single dashboard, teams gain a competitive advantage that allows them to act at any time and from any place they are located.

The digital transformation that has taken place over the last decade has resulted in companies having an innumerable number of solutions to solve different problems, from the most general to the most specific. However, with the development of a greater number of tools, organizations now can manage and develop a single integrated, scalable and functional Work OS that not only responds to business needs, but also adapts to people and the way they work, wherever they are and whenever they want to deliver best results.
