Ikea Mexico Adds 46 Pickup Points, Boosts Sales by 14% in 2024
Ikea Mexico closed 2024 with a nationwide expansion of its e-commerce platform, now covering all 32 states. The company also introduced 46 new pickup points, resulting in a 20% increase in home deliveries and a 14% rise in sales compared to 2023.
Ikea Mexico strengthened its digital strategy by extending its online shopping services across the country. The company’s Multichannel Distribution Center, located in northern Mexico City, serves as the central hub for managing deliveries with logistics partners. This network covered 2 million kilometers and reached 24,754 municipalities in 2024.
To improve accessibility, Ikea Mexico added 46 new pickup points, offering customers greater flexibility in receiving their purchases. This initiative supports the company’s goal of making its products more accessible to households across Mexico via its digital platform.
Tiffany Gan, E-commerce Manager, Ikea Mexico, highlighted the brand’s expanding customer base. “At Ikea Mexico, we are proud of the growing number of customers who have embraced the Swedish culture our brand represents. In 2024, we saw a 40% growth in customers, which underscores our ability to compete effectively in the Mexican market,” Gan said.
To further support online purchases, Ikea Mexico launched the Ikea Iinvex credit card, offering exclusive benefits. Additionally, its Ikea Family loyalty program grew by 54%, reinforcing customer engagement and brand loyalty.
