Mexico Consumer Confidence Hits Highest Since December 2024
Mexico’s consumer confidence rose for the second consecutive month in August, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
The Consumer Confidence Index increased 0.7 points from July, reaching 46.7, up from 46.0 the previous month. This marks the highest level since December 2024.
The index tracks households’ perceptions of the current state of the economy compared with a year earlier, as well as their expectations for the next 12 months.
With two consecutive months of gains, the data suggest improving sentiment among Mexican households regarding both present economic conditions and future prospects.
