Énestas Joins SEA-LNG in Coalition

Énestas, a natural gas company that also provides liquefied natural gas (LNG) for power producers, industry and transportation players, has joined SEA-LNG, a coalition that aims to demonstrate the commercial and environmental benefits of LNG as a marine fuel. 

According to SEA-LNG, Énestas will provide insights into Mexican and US LNG infrastructure and bunkering, while the coalition will support Énestas in the expansion of gas infrastructure. The addition of Énestas supports the coalition's drive to continue building global infrastructure and improve the availability of LNG bunkering.

With the largest LNG distribution network in Mexico and plans to expand gas infrastructure and logistics solutions, including LNG bunkering, Énestas is a valuable addition to the coalition. SEA-LNG recognizes the importance of driving global infrastructure build-out to improve the availability of LNG bunkering and to help the global shipping industry progress toward climate neutrality.

According to Clarksons’ data, LNG was available at 185 ports worldwide in January 2023 with a further 50 facilities planned by 2025. Énestas has the largest LNG distribution network in Mexico and is expanding gas infrastructure and logistics solutions in the region including LNG bunkering.
