The Hi-MO 6, a new generation of photovoltaic modules of the Hi-MO family that LONGi has released, has opened a new chapter for the world's leading solar technology manufacturer for the mass production of high-efficiency products. LONGi’s four Hi-MO6 series — Explorer, Scientist, Guardian and Artist — have been tailored to meet customers' needs and offer specific renewable energy products that are unparalleled in the market.

As the demand for industrial, commercial and residential photovoltaic (PV) solutions with higher conversion efficiency, long-term reliability and aesthetically-pleasing continues to develop at a rapid pace, LONGi has introduced Hi-MO6, its first module with Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) technology designed exclusively for the global distributed consumer market.

HPBC technology is considered a milestone in the generation of solar cell technology worldwide, since its unique design allows it to achieve a maximum efficiency of 25.3 percent in mass production. In addition, the new product is designed to fulfill the needs of various scenarios and extreme weather conditions, making the offer superior in efficiency, safety and aesthetics compared to others in the market.

Hi-MO 6 has become one of the most reliable photovoltaic modules on the market. It uses a revolutionary technological design but also employs a back contact one-line welding structure instead of the traditional structure, improving the module's resistance to cracking while delivering a higher level of safety and reliability.

The new family product provides four series: Explorer, Scientist, Guardian and Artist, all offered in a standard size of 182mm and available in 72C, 66C, 60C and 54C. All Hi-MO 6 series feature pioneering absence of front-grid technology that simplifies the complexity and enhances the aesthetics of PV products, making them fit naturally and harmoniously into different applications.

In addition, with the incorporation of HPBC technology, all products have improved light absorption capacity, increased module output efficiency and improved power generation in different environments, such as low radiation, high temperature and oblique light. Furthermore, HPBC technology has improved resistance to module micro-cracking, maximizing product reliability.

For industries that require additional safety and intelligence, the Hi-MO 6 can have an intelligent optimizer pre-installation that can monitor and optimize the photovoltaic or shading system of the modules. LONGi told MBN that the active safety is above all reflected in the remote control and timely shutdown of the PV system in case of potential failures. “It achieves the overall safety of the power station. The intelligent optimization is reflected in the real-time optimization when the power generation is blocked to ensure the maximum system power output and maximize the customer's income,” said Israel Sánchez, Product & Solution Manager LATAM.

Explorer

The Hi-MO 6 is a classic product but with revolutionary features, such as high-efficiency cells, aesthetic appearance, exceptional performance and market-leading reliability. LONGi told MBN that Explorer offers optimal power generation performance aimed at meeting all its customers’ needs, ranging from residential homes to commercial and industrial sectors.

Scientist

The Scientist series goes beyond the industry standard, driving clean energy transformation in the terawatt era with ultra-high performance. Features of the series include hydrogen-passivated HPBC PRO cell, superior efficiency, market-leading reliability, enhanced service, extended warranty, remote monitoring, periodic inspection and operational quality analysis. LONGi said the series is the ideal product for customers with substantial energy needs and for those seeking energy savings and carbon emission reduction targets.

Guardian

The Guardian series offers smarter performance in several key areas, such as intelligent monitoring, quick shutdown in case of emergency to protect people and assets, increased capacity and intelligent and accurate analysis algorithms that enable real-time optimization. LONGi explained that the independent control and real-time optimization functions of each module increase power generation by 5 percent to 30 percent.

Artist

The Artist series merges technology and art in an innovative solution. The Artist product breaks with the traditional black PV models with an eye-catching design that is perfect for landmark buildings and industry benchmark projects. LONGi noted that it is perfect for architectures like sports stadiums, cultural venues, fairgrounds and residences.

LONGi stressed that it uses an intelligent and comprehensive quality control system that covers the entire process of elaboration for these solutions. In addition, it has authoritative certification from global laboratories, such as the Renewable Energy Testing Center (RECT) and PV Evolution Labs (PVEL), to ensure that all solutions perform as intended.

Founded in 2000, LONGi is committed to being the world’s leading solar technology company, focusing on customer-driven value creation for the integral energy transformation.

Under its mission of Utilizing Solar Energy, Building a Green World and brand philosophy of Steadfast and Reliable Technology Leadership, LONGi has dedicated itself to technology innovation and established five business lines, covering mono-silicon wafers, cells and modules, commercial and industrial (C&I) distributed generation (DG) solar solutions, green energy solutions and hydrogen equipment. The company has honed its capabilities to provide green energy and has, more recently, also embraced green hydrogen products and solutions to support global zero-carbon development. The company's vision and roadmap are for the world to be completely green and self-sustainable in the first half of this century. All its solutions and innovations are aligned with this goal.
