The 2021 edition of the energy industry’s quintessential summit, Mexico Energy Forum, will move to the digital sphere. Concerns surrounding the enduring COVID-19 pandemic remain but Mexico Oil & Gas Summit has already set a successful precedent. Although meeting face-to-face is off the table for now, adopting the latest technologies brings along a wealth of benefits for attendees and panelists.

Mexico Energy Forum has established itself as one of the leading annual conferences for Mexico’s energy sector after eight years. The event has become a reference in the calendar for energy professionals doing business in Mexico and that drive the sector forward. The forum features leading government and industry speakers and the panels highlight the latest trends and developments. Its networking opportunities are unparalleled.

The first digital Mexico Energy Forum will last two days and will be held on Wednesday, March 10 and Thursday, March 11. The main topics include the reorientation of Mexico’s energy sector following the recent shifts in the country’s economic and public sphere, spurred on by the COVID-19 pandemic, and where opportunities can be found.

Jeroen Posma, Director General of Mexico Business Group, the company behind Mexico Energy Forum, said that the event is to be moved to the digital sphere instead of being postponed to guarantee dialog and networking opportunities between the industry’s biggest stakeholders. “As organizers of over 45 industry-leading, high-level B2B conferences in Mexico, we understand that face-to-face conferences and networking events are tremendously valuable for sponsors and attendees. Over the past months we have realized that face-to-face conferences will not return in the near future. We are embracing the new normal and believe that the time is now to reshape the future of B2B conferences in Mexico,” he said. Mexico Energy Forum will follow Mexico Oil & Gas Summit and Mexico Mining Forum, ensuring that all the digital tools available are tweaked optimally by March 2021. In line with the forum’s reputation, the program will feature leaders that are shaping the future of the Mexican energy industry.

Some factors will be different, says Posma “The networking experience will be entirely different. Attendees and sponsors can schedule B2B meetings based on intent-based matchmaking driven by artificial intelligence. The integration of the world's leading networking platform, combined with the expanded geographical reach of a virtual conference, will offer our participants a unique opportunity to generate leads at a time when B2B lead generation is more challenging than ever,” he added.

The networking opportunities supported by leading digital event startup Brella have already yielded success in MOGS 2020. Mexico Oil and Gas Summit 2020 furthermore benefited from the sector’s most important voices, brought together online.
