AMFE, Apcob Partner to Boost Debt Collection
The Mexican Association of Specialized Financial Entities (AMFE) and the Association of Professionals in Collections and Legal Services (Apcob) have signed an agreement to enhance debt collection practices and customer service in Mexico’s financial sector.
The collaboration will focus on promoting timely credit payments while ensuring that collection activities comply with regulatory compliance standards.
Enrique Bojórquez Valenzuela, President, AMFE, said the agreement addresses challenges in a changing financial environment where efficiency, technology and personalization are essential.
As part of the alliance, a directory of debt collection providers validated by Apcob will be created. These providers will be vetted under strict compliance and business ethics criteria, giving AMFE members direct access without additional screening.
Alan Ramírez Flores, President, Apcob, said the directory will streamline the hiring process for AMFE members by prequalifying companies that meet operational standards.
The agreement also includes organizing forums and focus sessions to improve user service, credit recovery quality, and the industry's operational reputation. Both associations will design and deliver technical training for operational and administrative staff.
Priority topics will include portfolio recovery optimization, strategic use of artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and omnichannel communication.
AMFE members will receive preferential access to Apcob Institute certification programs, and both organizations will collaborate on events, webinars and academic content. They will also promote each other’s services and participate jointly in industry events, publications and engagement with authorities.
Bojórquez said the partnership aims to position debt collection as a strategic function that supports a healthy and sustainable financial ecosystem.
