DiDi Loans, the financial services arm of ride-hailing and delivery platform DiDi, has surpassed 20 million loans issued in Mexico, the company announced.

Since its launch, DiDi Loans has offered personal loans and introduced complementary financial products, such as the DiDi Card and DiDi Paga Después. The company has now increased its maximum credit line to MX$46,800 for select users, expanding its ability to support a broader range of needs, from emergencies to personal projects.

Patricia Delgadillo, Communications Director, DiDi, said the company aims to offer credit that is both responsible and accessible, in line with its mission to promote financial health in Mexico. “Whether through DiDi Loans or DiDi Paga Después, our focus is to grow responsibly, always prioritizing people and their real-life needs,” she said.

To further encourage responsible borrowing, DiDi Loans is launching a new Premium membership program. Initially free of charge, the program will offer benefits such as higher credit limits, flexible payment dates, and personalized customer support. Eligible users will receive invitations via email and can activate their membership by following a few simple steps.

In addition to its lending services, DiDi recently launched its Digital Account in Mexico, which offers a 15% annual yield, currently the highest available rate in the country. The account provides 24/7 access to funds with no lock-in periods and is backed by JP Sofiexpress, a financial entity regulated by Mexico’s National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV).
