Arcus Financial Intelligence became the newest direct participant of Interbank Electronic Payment System (SPEI), as the company takes another major step to continue developing payments technology in Mexico.

Arcus, which currently allows companies to launch and offer innovative payment solutions in Latin America, will now allow users to send and receive payments in real time 24/7 to any part of Mexico and to any SPEI participant, such as banks, brokerage houses, sofipos and other regulated financial entities and complies with the Bank of Mexico’s (Banxico) security standards for SPEI participants.

“Mexico needs a revolution in access to SPEI and through the new payment platform that we have built, we make it easier for our clients to operate SPEI with an ease never seen before in the market. Our new platform, directed by Xabi Valdecantos, our VP of Product, works in real time and through events, and facilitates the integration and creation of payment and collection flows, so we are one step ahead in terms of innovation,” said Iñigo Rumayor, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, Arcus, via a press release.

Arcus’ flagship solution, the Arcus Pay Network, has access to the largest retailers and direct connection with many of the largest billers in Mexico. Arcus currently allows its clients to manage identifiers with CLABE type format, which are assigned to individuals or legal entities to receive and send funds while allowing total control of movements. With SPEI, the company will be able to transfer Mexican pesos on its own account and on behalf of its clients, allowing any company interested in using SPEI to hire Arcus’ services.

“At Arcus, we pride ourselves on improving people’s financial health by helping companies empower their consumers, giving them a better way to manage their payments. We are proud to be the infrastructure that is helping so many businesses transition to adopt technology and implement solutions that will radically change their end user’s experience,” said Rumayor in an interview with MBN.
