Toyota celebrated its 20-year anniversary in Mexico in a Ringing Bell ceremony at the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV). During the event, José-Oriol Bosch, CEO, Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, and Alex Kuntzy, General Director, Toyota Financial Services Mexico, celebrated the company's achievements since its arrival in Mexico and its recent placement on BMV.

The Toyota Financial Services team seeks to offer efficient financial products that contribute to the life and prosperity of Toyota customers. "Toyota Financial Services has been one of the most recurring issuers we have had in the stock market. It has had 360 placements since 2006 to date,” said Bosch during the event. “It gives us great pleasure to support them and, above all, to recognize the company for these 16 years in the stock market and 20 years of success in Mexico.”

In its last issuance on July 18, Toyota placed long-term stock certificates for MX$2 billion (US$100 million), which were well received by investors, according to Bosch. Since 2006, Toyota Financial Services Mexico has made a total of 360 issues, 13 long-term, and 347 short-term ones, for a total of over MX$106 billion (US$5.3 billion).

"In these 16 years, we have diversified our sources of funding, with which we have been able to support the financing of inventories and capital loans of our network of distributors made up of 98 points of sale. Today we can say that thanks to these efforts, one out of every two Toyotas sold in Mexico has been financed by Toyota Financial Services Mexico," said Kuntzy.

Toyota's achievements during its 20 years in Mexico include J.D. Power's recognition for customer service. J.D. Power put Toyota in first place in this ranking with a score of 865 points, making it the brand with the highest long-term customer satisfaction in the Mexican market. "For Toyota, customer satisfaction driven by the Kaizen philosophy, which demands continuous improvement, is of the utmost importance. We work every day to give the best at all levels of care, thus creating the best experience for all those who have a Toyota," Guillermo Diaz, President of Toyota Motor Sales and Lexus de Mexico, said in a press release
