Q: How does your knowledge and expertise on national and international regulations translate to better services for clients?

A: Eolis has a great deal of experience as a specialist in air treatment systems for industrial processes. This experience has allowed us to build our expertise by learning from our mistakes and successes. As a company, we understand the value of our clients and we focus on having a constructive relationship with them to create win-win situations.

Q: What challenges do you face in the Latin American market?

A: Latin American countries have a tendency to change programs and regulations with every new government administration. It challenges the confidence of foreign companies and hence, investment. Latin American companies also lack the foresight to anticipate and prevent certain situations from materializing. They also do not see the importance of doing this, but it is a real challenge that companies need to tackle to avoid further cost increases. We try to promote prevention and to raise awareness of what it means to anticipate events. This is one of our advantages as a company.

We also like to stay in touch with our clients to understand their problems. Fortunately, the pharmaceutical industry is relatively stable, which is helpful when creating an action framework that provides measurable results.

Our biggest challenge, however, relates to human resources. We are fortunate to have a solid client base but there is a shortage of quality employees. We need our education system to address the labor needs of companies and train students for the employment that is available.

Q: How does Eolis provide an added value to remain a top choice for pharmaceutical companies?

A: Price is not the only determinant of a company’s competitiveness. It is more about value and quality. Eolis guarantees the value of its services so clients can be confidant when choosing us. We never engage in price wars. Instead, we focus on providing the best service to our clients according to their needs. We have qualified personnel to oversee sales, raw materials, manufacturing and installation. In terms of quality, we have a base standard that we can never break and that is what determines our competitiveness.

Eolis also provides its staff with proper benefits. Our workers are affiliated with IMSS, receive fair payment and work in favorable conditions. This may incur added costs for the company but it also ensures the quality of our products and services. Companies need to protect their investment and the best way to do that is to invest in quality services that deliver maximum returns.

Q: How does Eolis ensure that its solutions have the lowest environmental impact possible?

A: We use ecological refrigerants and biodegradable insulation materials. We have optimized the design of our systems so that there is little waste while also complying with all regulatory norms. The real challenge is in energy consumption, and there we bring to the market our European culture and experience.

Q: What are your short-term goals for Eolis América Latina?

A: I hope to see a higher level of investment in the pharmaceutical sector in Mexico to expand the market. The company is also working in the US on new projects and we hope to strengthen that area. We have a subsidiary there for clients that require specialized equipment. Eolis is founder of the Mexican Chapter of the International Society for  Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), creating a strong knowledge on sharing a structure that will enhance engineering quality in Mexico. This kind of action shows the interest Eolis and its staff put in improving compliance and quality services on the marketplace.
