First Medical Coaching Service Launches in Mexico
Coindreau Medical Coaching (CMC) is launching the first certified medical coaching service in Mexico, aiming to improve treatment adherence, patient understanding, and emotional well-being.
The initiative addresses common gaps in healthcare systems such as limited contact between doctors and patients. On average, a patient in Mexico spends only 13 minutes with a specialist, with follow-up appointments often spaced six to 18 months apart, says CMC. During these periods, communication between physician and patient is typically nonexistent.
This gap has direct clinical consequences. Studies show treatment adherence is under 50% in internal medicine and about 35% in mental health. A lack of ongoing communication can lead to physical complications, psychological decline, and reduced quality of life.
CMC focuses on listening, care, and discovery. Through these pillars, the service offers patients support in understanding their condition, making informed decisions, managing fear related to diagnoses, and actively pursuing well-being across all areas of life, not just physical health.
The coaching model offers both virtual and in-person sessions, personalized follow-up, and access to supplementary resources. The goal is to create a flexible and continuous space where patients receive guidance, clear medical information, and practical tools to navigate their health challenges.
CMC targets individuals with chronic diseases, those in rehabilitation, patients experiencing perimenopause, and caregivers seeking support. By integrating certified coaching techniques into healthcare, the program seeks to reduce the emotional burden on patients while improving adherence and long-term outcomes.
