Limoverse and PixelMax jumped into the metaverse to take digital health provision to the next level. These technologies can open up completely new channels for delivering treatment, lowering costs and significantly improving patient outcomes in healthcare.
The metaverse has numerous potential applications for healthcare, ranging from virtual immersive therapy experiences to digital evaluations of drug interactions. These advancements are already being acknowledged by Limoverse, a global platform connecting health seekers and wellness providers from various health and wellness systems. Limoverse is a decentralized blockchain metaverse developed to be compatible with Ethereum-like blockchains that focuses on the basics of HealthFi, WhealthFi and GameFi features.
Limoverse's “clinic” project aims to empower people and promote healthy and productive lifestyles. Through Limoverse's platform, users have the option to connect with wellness practitioners and institutions from around the globe. Through the metaverse, Limoverse hopes to share health benefits though personalized health programs.
PixelMax is also entering the metaverse to provide care. The mass communications company allied with Children’s Hospital Alder Hey to develop a digital twin of the health center's radiology department that patients can visit remotely using a VR headset. The hope is that by allowing children to become familiar with the sights and sounds they are likely to experience, they will feel more comfortable during their actual visit. Patients can also interact with different pieces of equipment like X-ray machines and MRI scanners to learn more about how they work and earn virtual badges in the process.
Forecasts by Omnia Health say that by the end of the year, the time spent by each user on the metaverse will be an average of 20 minutes. These values point towards more investments and the adoption of solutions in the metaverse, which makes it only natural for these companies to begin settling its services in this new environment.
Companies across the globe are planning their expansion into the metaverse, with Mexico and Brazil being the countries in Latin America investing the most in its construction.
