Osigu, Latin America’s leading AI-driven platform for health revenue cycle and claims management, announced a US$10 million strategic investment from venture capital firm Eos Ventures. The funding round, which included Visa, IDC Ventures, and other investors, has been oversubscribed, signaling strong market confidence in the company.

“We will continue to scale our platform, drive innovation, and bridge the gap between healthcare and fintech to deliver faster, more transparent, and more reliable payments,” says Osigu.

This marks Eos Ventures’ first investment in Latin America and reinforces its commitment to modernizing payment systems in the region’s health and insurance sectors, a timely move as Latin America emerges as the fastest-growing and most profitable market for insurance, with premiums rising 11% annually from 2019 to 2024, according to McKinsey.

Healthcare and insurance systems in Latin America face significant challenges, including fragmented processes, low standardization, and unreliable data that drives inefficiencies and increases costs. Osigu addresses these issues through a robust infrastructure that acts as the operating system for health and insurance transactions. By connecting payers, providers, and patients, the company accelerates reimbursements, reduces administrative costs, and increases transparency across the system.

“Osigu is solving one of the most complex and costly problems in Latin America’s health and insurance sectors: how money moves within the system,” says Zach Powell, General Partner, Eos Ventures. “By combining AI, automation, and deep industry expertise, they have created the infrastructure this market needed. We are proud that our first Latin American investment is in a company leading the transformation of payments in health and insurance.”

Fernando Botrán, Founder and CEO, Osigu, welcomed Eos Ventures as a strategic partner and board member. “Their global experience and specialized knowledge make them an ideal ally for what’s ahead. Their perspective and strategic capital will drive our expansion and technology roadmap as we continue integrating health and fintech to deliver faster, more transparent, and reliable payments in the region,” Botrán says.

The company already operates in key markets including Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Central America, and the Dominican Republic, and plans to scale its platform, accelerate market expansion, pursue mergers and acquisitions, and continue digitalizing payments in Latin America’s health sector.

“Mexico has been our strategic focus since we began our expansion. It remains a major investment priority and will continue to be one. We believe that establishing a strong presence in Mexico can propel us into other markets in Latin America, North America, and potentially beyond,” says Gianfranco Bassi, Country Manager MCAC, Osigu, to MBN.
