Pharmacy-adjacent clinics are providing an added value to Mexico’s health system and there are still plenty of opportunities to provide better care, agreed panelists on Day 2 of Mexico Health Summit. In the panel moderated by Lourdes López, Executive Director of ANADIM, Gabriel Zavala, Executive Commercial Director of Farmacias del Ahorro, explained the advantages these clinics can offer, such as comfort and proximity for patients, as well as low costs. Juan José Aguirre, Commercial Director of Grupo Bruluart, added that keeping prices down is a key advantage, while proximity allows for lower costs of transportation. With pharmacy-based clinics, pointed out Santiago González Reyes, Operations Director of Farmacias YZA, people are gaining more access to healthcare while diminishing the burden on the public system.
