Chinese dialysis technology company SWS Medical is expanding its presence in Latin America through its participation in Hospitalar 2025, a leading healthcare trade fair held in Brazil from May 20 to 23.

With over 15.9% of China’s dialysis market and exports to more than 80 countries, SWS Medical is positioning itself as a key supplier in Latin America’s fragmented dialysis care landscape, states report. The region faces a 10.2% chronic kidney disease prevalence rate, yet access to dialysis remains uneven due to infrastructure and budgetary limitations.

"We are thrilled by the overwhelming response and look forward to connecting with more professionals committed to improving patient care," said a company representative. "By advancing access and affordability, we aim to contribute to long-term outcomes across Latin America."

SWS Medical has established a footprint across 50% of the continent, including Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Honduras, Chile, Mexico, and Brazil. The company has installed hundreds of dialysis machines in Colombia and Ecuador and has introduced training programs and diagnostic software to improve operational efficiency in local clinics. Its Intelligent Dialysis Management Software provides remote maintenance and diagnostics, enabling real-time troubleshooting and reduced equipment downtime.

The SWS-4000A system includes an Online HDF system that generates sterile replacement fluid in real time, allowing for tailored patient care. Meanwhile, the SWS-6000, top seller in China, offers automated heparin injection, improved compatibility with syringes, online pre-filling capabilities, and real-time monitoring functions. Both machines are designed to support consistent and efficient treatment delivery.
