BOMA Desarrollos Lays the First Stone of Country Lakes in Yucatan
Mexican real estate developer BOMA Desarrollos has laid the first stone for Yucatan’s Country Lakes, a project set to drive economic growth while preserving the environment.
“BOMA Desarrollos is deeply proud to launch this major project in Yucatan. With Country Lakes, we bring to life a vision centered on quality, security, profitability, innovation, transparency, and a human-centered approach. This development is built with respect for the natural environment and with future generations in mind,” says Alberto Miranda, General Director, BOMA Desarrollos.
With an investment of MX$7 billion (US$338.6 million), Country Lakes will span 1,100ha, of which over 40% will be designated for conservation in the form of nature reserves, lakes, and parks. The development is expected to create 3,000 direct jobs in the municipality of Hunucma and 7,000 indirect jobs across various sectors.
“For the municipality of Hunucma, it is essential to have projects that strengthen economic growth, generate quality jobs, and simultaneously protect the environment. I thank BOMA Desarrollos for their commitment to the people of Hunucma and the future of Yucatan,” says Cristina Pérez, Municipal President of Hunucma.
With Country Lakes, BOMA Desarrollos aims to establish itself as a leader in sustainable real estate, providing legal certainty to buyers and investors, promoting the well-being of Yucatan’s families, and ensuring environmental preservation.
