The Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo Del Mazo, reported that the real estate company Distrito Panorama will construct a new industrial park in Cuautitlan, which will foster the industrial sector in the state.

Alfredo del Mazo reported he met with representatives of Distrito Panorama to discuss the creation of a new industrial park in Cuautitlan, which will be named the El Terremoto Industrial Park. “Distrito Panorama, one of the country’s most important industrial park developers, is making an important investment to develop a new industrial park, which will boost the region and the State of Mexico’s economic development,” Del Mazo said on his Twitter account.

Del Mazo offered to support the company to continue its growth path since it has shown confidence in his administration. He added that the State of Mexico has become an attractive destination for investment since it has competitive advantages, which has been reflected in 74 foreign and national companies investing US$205 billion creating 271,000 jobs in the state.

The El Terremoto park will have 110,000m² available for rent, 170 platforms equipped with dock levelers, 106,945m² for construction and 105,667m² of roof areas available for rent. The park has a strategic position, connecting with the Peripheral Highway, the State of Mexico’s Outer Loop and the Mexico-Queretaro Highway. This is the second industrial park Distrito Panorama will construct in the state of Mexico: The first is called Panorama Coacalco and is located in Coacalco municipality. The park has a total surface of 128,000m².

Del Mazo congratulated Luis Moussali, Director General, Distrito Panorama, for the announcement of the investment, as well as for his vision and confidence in the state. The governor assured him that the project will enhance the company’s portfolio. Enrique González, Director General for Industry, the local Ministry of Economic Development (SEDECO) and Edgar Sánchez, Director General of Trust for the Development of Industrial Parks, SEDECO, were also present at the meeting.

Distrito Panorama is a real estate developer focusing on industrial, office and commercial projects in Mexico, mainly in and around Mexico City. The company caters to clients such as LEGO, Kimberly Clark, Casa Cuervo, Mercado Libre GEPP and Nadro, among others.

Currently, the State of Mexico features 111 industrial parks and areas. Tlalnepantla de Baz, Cuatitlan Izcalli, Toluca and Ecatepec are the municipalities with the largest number of industrial ventures. Over 2,000 companies work in the state’s industrial parks, most of them in the automotive, food, chemicals and plastic industries.
