Industrial Activity Falls in June, Breaking Growth Streak

Mexico’s industrial activity fell 0.1% in June 2025, ending its streak of monthly growth. Mining posted the sharpest drop, energy output also declined, while manufacturing showed modest gains, highlighting mixed sector performance and slowing momentum.

Mexico–Pachuca Passenger Train Targets 2027 Completion

Mexico–Pachuca electric train, now 4% complete and scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2027, will reduce travel time between both cities to one hour and 15 minutes, benefiting around 108,000 passengers daily. The project aims to boost regional connectivity, create jobs, and support economic development, with modern, accessible stations and dedicated tracks to ensure fast, reliable, and sustainable service.

SICT to Invest MX$11.8 Billion in the State of Mexico

The SICT will invest MX$11.8 billion (US$636 million) from 2025–2027 in the Eastern State of Mexico to improve mobility, public transport, safe paths, and educational infrastructure. The plan aims to benefit 10 million residents through road upgrades, bridge construction, new transit projects, safer pedestrian corridors, and new high schools in nine municipalities.
