SEDENA Opens Tender for Mundo Maya Tourism Promotion
The Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA), through Grupo Mundo Maya, has opened a tender seeking specialized services for the design, preproduction, production, and postproduction of audiovisual content to promote the tourism destinations under the Mundo Maya brand.
According to the invitation published by GAFSACOMM, the contract aims to support the Annual Promotion and Advertising Program 2025, which will showcase hotels, parks, museums, and other assets operated by Grupo Mundo Maya. The scope includes the creation of a brand identity manual, production of 20-second television and radio spots, and high-definition 360° imagery of facilities, both ground and aerial.
The campaigns, such as “Autumn Equinox,” “A Christmas with Uxmito,” “Celebrate with Soul,” and “Venture and Live the Christmas Spirit”, are designed to position the company’s destinations across national and international markets.
The tender will be awarded on Oct. 28, 2025, and the contract will remain valid through Dec. 31, 2025. Funding will come from SEDENA’s resources, authorized under Memorandum No. SGAF/FINANZAS/P3941, dated Oct. 14, 2025.
Participating bidders must certify that none of their executives or employees have engaged in corrupt practices, in compliance with Mexico’s General Law of the National Anti-Corruption System.
Although the invitation does not specify the project’s estimated value or list of invited companies, the procedure follows the “invitation for three” modality, which limits participation to selected bidders while ensuring competitive evaluation.
This initiative forms part of SEDENA’s broader strategy to consolidate the Mundo Maya tourism group as a flagship state-owned operator, integrating hospitality, transport, and heritage experiences across southern Mexico.
