Q: What is Henco Global’s main competitive advantage and what role does technology play in its operations?

A: In 2026, technology is just the ticket to play. We need the right tools to be more efficient, more effective, and leaner in how we operate. Technology has to help us move faster, remove friction, and execute better. But tools are not the advantage by themselves, they only strengthen what people are already capable of doing. What continues to differentiate us is the human factor. The personal connection cannot be replaced by technology. Relationships are still built through presence, through conversation, and through genuine interaction.

At the end of the day, everything comes back to people and what they feel. No system can replace emotions, empathy, or the energy a person brings into a room. The sense of connection between two people is still irreplaceable, and that is why our “Happy People” philosophy remains a real competitive advantage in 2026.

Q: Considering recent geopolitical challenges, what are your expectations for nearshoring?

A: Mexico is set up for success despite challenges. Mexican’s work ethic, resilience, and drive are some of the country’s greatest competitive advantages, and will keep pushing Mexico ahead. Mexico’s position is still stronger than many alternatives because of geography and its integration with the US market. Even when trade pressure increases, Mexico remains comparatively better placed than major competitors. If the United States is rebalancing supply chains, Mexico is still one of the most logical partners. Mexican exports continue to grow, and the peso has shown strength at different challenging moments. Those indicators suggest that the country is not “falling behind.” The opportunity is still there.

The real risk is complacency. Mexico cannot afford to fall asleep. Authorities and the private sector must stay sharp, especially around the USMCA renegotiation because Mexico’s strategic and geographic advantage is something we must protect and maximize. If Mexico focuses on solving obstacles, it has everything it needs to become one of the strongest countries in the world.

Q: How does Henco Global use its resources to protect the “Happy People” culture while delivering high performance?

A: We highly value our team members. High performance comes from well-being. People do their best work when they are rested, well-fed, mentally clear, and in a respectful environment. That is why we push habits and conditions that support performance, such as sleep, nutrition, exercise, stress management, and a positive workplace. When someone shows up balanced and in a good headspace, they make better decisions, handle pressure better, and deliver more consistently.

In any company, the people who “score the goals” are the teams on the ground, the collaborators who make things happen every day. Leadership does not win championships; the players do. Our job is to give them the support, tools, and environment to be the rockstars, so they can perform at their best and take the business further than any one leader ever could.

Q: What trends are shaping the modern logistics market, and how do you expect it to evolve in the short term?

A: The logistics market is cyclical, and the biggest mistake is failing to read those cycles well. The market is in a complex position because there is too much capacity and too much space available, so rates are falling. Furthermore, tariffs and customs changes are creating friction and uncertainty that is making international trade harder in the short term. But this trend will get corrected. Trade does not stop, because the world cannot suddenly become “local” again. Supply chains have to keep moving. People still need food, fuel, and products every day, so the market is forced to find solutions and adjust.

In a company or country, different parts move at different speeds and now the system is out of sync. Over time, the private sector, logistics players, customs brokers, and the government will learn what works and what does not, and the gears start to mesh again. Carriers, airlines, and logistics providers will adjust their strategy, capacity will come down, demand will rebalance, and prices will rise again. These periods create a reshuffle: small and mid-sized companies often do not survive, and the market consolidates. The winners will be the ones who can endure the cycle, stay disciplined, and be ready when balance returns.

Q: Mexico’s logistics industry is highly fragmented and often struggles to collaborate. How can the sector work together more effectively?

A: In Mexico, the logistics sector is extremely fragmented. There are countless players, and too often we do not know how to work as a team. If we collaborate more, we can deliver stronger service, respond faster to customers, and grow more. We can also learn more from each other. Having strong competitors is a gift, because it forces us to improve.

We are an aggressive company when it comes to growth, we go after opportunities and we move fast, but we do it with a clear principle: we grow without harming anyone.

Q: How will Henco Global navigate market challenges during 2026, and what would a successful year look like?

A: In 2026, we plan to stay disciplined and adaptive. We are watching how the market is evolving and we are not going to fall asleep. If the industry is moving forward, our mindset is to stay one step ahead in how we prepare and respond. We are approaching this cycle intelligently and sensibly. The market shift is opening new opportunities, and we like what we are seeing. The goal is to use this moment to position ourselves so that when the tide changes, we are ready to grow faster and stronger, like we have done in previous cycles.

We do not define success by a single quarter or a single tough year. We have been in the market for 30 years. A successful 2026 will involve making the right adjustments, understanding the root causes of pressure, choosing practical solutions, and implementing them responsibly. We are committed to improving performance without harming people. We want to solve problems, adapt, and stay competitive, while taking care of our team and our partners. That balance is what success looks like for Henco Global in 2026.
