Q: What is the full extent of netLogistiK’s offering for the Mexican market?

A: netLogistiK’s main business is technology for logistics. The logistics industry is a transversal business that works across several industries in the Mexican economy. We have a prominent standing in the retail and manufacturing sectors but basically, we are in everything that requires logistics, warehousing, transport, and production. We develop state-of-the-art cloud-based software tools for logistics operations that at not so complex. These tools are offered as Software as a Service (SaaS). For those operations that are more complex, we represent companies from the US and Europe that develop this type of software.

Q: What service do you provide companies that do not have their own logistics operations?

A: We do not work directly with product logistics but with the systems. If the client has a logistics operator, it means that it has outsourced part of the operation. Logistics operators are an important business niche for us since almost all logistics operators are our clients.

A key differentiator for us is the way the system is implemented. The traditional way is for clients to acquire a server, place it in a data center and have people manage it. The applications are on the server. However, what we offer is to take these applications to the cloud and manage the license, should the client have bought a license. This means the client no longer has to worry about the system’s operations.

Q: With offices in Mexico, Colombia and the US, what characteristics do you look for when establishing in any given market?

A: From Mexico and Colombia, we attend the rest of Latin America. We have operations in around 12 countries, including Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Costa Rica. We attend all these operations from our offices in Mexico City and Colombia, although we do have local sales channels for new clients and we constantly fly in our experts. This means our clients receive a mix of on-site and distance support.

Though we are already in the US and have an office there, we are trying to gain more market share through our offer of technology services and the other software solutions we already represent. In the US, we are doing projects for companies like Levi’s, Bosch, and large logistics operators. Also, through our US office we provide support for individual projects in places like South Korea, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, and in some European countries.

Q: What has been the reception for your Supplynet software and how does it differentiate from other products in the market?

A: Supplynet is our bet on innovation. We developed the software. It has five modules or solutions that are composed of a series of microservices. These modules include warehouse administration, transport administration, truck mobility, solutions for small-scale e-commerce delivery and a control tower that provides the client with the visibility to administer and oversee what happens in all the systems.

We are focusing mainly on Mexico and Colombia as test markets, where the solution has been very well-received, but our bet on the US market, where we see a great deal of potential. The solution will be offered also as SaaS, and we have made a significant investment to make the software accessible, meaning that it is easy to use, that the training for its use comes with videos and that it is easy for clients to adopt. This reduces the cost and makes it more accessible for companies, especially for some Latin American companies that have neither the size nor the budget of international companies.

Q: How is netLogistiK working to position itself as a Latin American technology company that understands the needs of the region?

A: We are working to step away from the Latin American adjective and trying to brand ourselves as a global company that has a local presence in the markets we want to attend. This presence in some cases is covered directly and in others, we look to develop a network of channels for the sale, implementation and support of our own solutions.

Though we are a technology company, one of the largest differentiators is our people. Mexicans tend to have great commitment and passion, and we try to make sure that all our collaborators fit this profile.
