Supplier.io, the market-leading provider of supplier and sourcing intelligence solutions, launches its next-generation platform, marking a major step forward in how procurement teams discover, evaluate, and engage small and local suppliers.

"This is not just an upgrade; it is a whole new way to think about sourcing. Procurement teams need faster, smarter, more transparent ways to find the right suppliers and build resilient supply chains. With expanded global data, AI-powered intelligence, and actionable insights, we are strengthening what we already do best by giving companies new and enhanced tools for discovering small businesses, sourcing smarter, and scaling impact," says Aylin Basom, CEO, Supplier.io.

Global supply chain disruptions are costing companies an estimated US$1.6 trillion annually, putting procurement leaders under unprecedented pressure to adapt. Supplier.io’s enhanced platform delivers the data, intelligence, and impact reporting needed to build resilient and inclusive supplier networks, says the company.

"We are relentlessly innovating to meet the evolving needs of our customers. From AI-driven discovery to advanced supplier scoring, these enhancements deliver the intelligence, precision, and agility procurement leaders need to make smarter decisions, faster, with measurable impact on their bottom line," says Rob Fox, CTO,Supplier.io.

The launch strengthens Supplier.io’s leadership in supplier intelligence with unmatched global data coverage, intelligent supplier scoring, and advanced analytics. Supplier.io’s database will expand from 11 million to over 23 million supplier profiles in 2025, with a strong emphasis on small and local suppliers. Enriched with over 450 million data points, profiles include certifications, sustainability ratings, and performance indicators. This includes 250,000 new small businesses in Mexico to support nearshoring, and over 5 million US small suppliers.

The new platform also offers a new AI-powered search experience that allows buyers to use natural language queries and detailed filters to quickly find the right suppliers, streamline onboarding, and improve engagement. Suppliers will also be able to share more detailed profile data, including ISO certifications, data security credentials, and industry-specific licenses, improving visibility and compliance.

Backed by analysis of over US$10 trillion in buyer spend, Supplier.io’s TrustIQ model evaluates suppliers with real-world performance indicators, reducing risk and accelerating decisions. The company will later launch an Opportunity Board, which will directly connect customers and suppliers within the Supplier.io network to pursue contract opportunities.
