Traceability Beetrack company has positioned On-Demand systems and services, efficient and adaptable warehouses, customer loyalty technology, blockchain and green logistics, as the five driving logistics tendencies for Mexico during 2022 due to user-technology interconnectedness demands.

Following last year’s worldwide logistics transformations through e-commerce, the containers crisis, growing dark stores and fulfillment tendencies with evolving user habits created by the COVID-19 pandemic and the businesses’ digitalization process, has prompted Mexico to have a continuous improvement as a key differentiator to succeed in a highly competitive global economy.

This improvement will have to respond to a user-technology interconnectedness focused in the e-commerce sector, according to Pablo Yáñez, Manager, Beetrack, who argued that “the biggest challenge lies in managing last-mile services so that the customer experience has a positive impact on the brand reputation.”

Nowadays, logistics are indivisible from new technologies due to constant digital transformations as well as the necessity for optimizing supply chain processes. This has allocated the logistics sector as an indispensable solution to current commercial practices, where its success is determined by tech innovation, argued Yáñez.

Following these statements, Beetrack’s manager established five elements considered to be the key driving tendencies for the Mexican logistics sector in 2022.

First, On-Demand logistics systems and services are increasingly being purchased as the pay-as-you-use models offer flexible and individualized services that adapt to a company’s economic fluctuations without allocating fixed monthly resources.

Second, robotization and automation are assuming broader tasks within the supply chain processes, focusing not only in the unloading of goods, warehousing, or inventory work but also on distribution duties. This tendency demands more efficient and adaptable warehouses, capable of allowing a dynamic route planification.

Third, as Big Data facilitates consumers’ experience information, it will be used as a customer loyalty technology tool within the decision-making process to guarantee the users’ satisfaction. Through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning, logistics processes will increase the efficiency of a company’s operations, which will provide high-quality services to the consumer at competitive prices.

Fourth, blockchain technology provides digital security in a broad spectrum of operational services, including logistics, minimizing the growing threats in a digital reality. Lastly, the fifth logistics tendency positioned by the Beetrack expert is green logistics as transport and warehousing contribute greatly to the CO2 emissions. To counter this, companies will need to develop sustainable policies to reduce the effect of their logistics operations from beginning to end.

"All of these technologies are driving the latest trends in logistics today and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the coming decades," said Yañez.

Beetrack is a provider of customized logistics solutions through their own digital platforms that allow real-time goods traceability and delivery planning. The company has been able to develop Latin America’s biggest delivery system with a strategy to increase its share in the Mexican market.

“Beetrack is a leader in Latin America, with LastMile covering between 60-70 percent of the market share. Forty percent of our clients are big businesses. We set up a team in Mexico in January 2019 and since then, Mexico has gone from 1 percent to 15 percent of our company’s sales. According to pre-COVID-19 numbers, we expect this to double to 30 percent in a year and a half. Our sales will be boosted significantly as big companies move to a pre-sales approach. This is an ongoing trend in the market,” said Felipe Porter, Vice President of Sales, Beetrack in an MBN interview
