Windrose, Xos Partner to Power Global Fleet Electrification
Windrose, the manufacturer behind one of the lightest and longest-range Class 8 electric trucks in the world, has announced a strategic partnership with Xos, a leading provider of mobile charging solutions. The collaboration aims to deliver powerful, scalable charging options for fleet operators across the United States and international markets.
“Together with Windrose, we are removing the single biggest barrier to fleet electrification: infrastructure delays. This partnership enables large fleets to get trucks on the road and charge in a matter of days, not years,” says Dakota Semler, CEO, Xos.
Windrose’s flagship Class 8 truck, designed for deployment across North America, the European Union, South America, Oceania, Asia, and the Middle East, offers up to 420mi of loaded range. Built on a lightweight chassis and powered by a high-efficiency drivetrain, the vehicle sets a new standard in the heavy-duty EV segment.
Through the partnership, Windrose fleet customers will gain access to the newest generation of the Xos Hub, a mobile charging solution that eliminates reliance on traditional charging infrastructure. Equipped with a 630kWh onboard battery and integrated DC fast chargers, the Hub delivers up to 150kW/port or 300kW in series, enabling true dual-shift operations for fleets.
Unlike fixed DC fast chargers, the Xos Hub can be deployed in a matter of hours without trenching, switchgear, permits, or utility interconnection. The mobile system is already in use across North America, helping major fleets lower capital expenditures, scale quickly, and manage energy costs more effectively. With its built-in energy storage, fleets can also mitigate peak demand charges and improve operational predictability.
“At Windrose, we are building the most advanced Class 8 electric trucks in the market. But technology alone is not enough. Charging access is critical. Xos brings the hardware and logistics to ensure our customers can operate at full scale on day one. We will start deployment in the United States and expand to our other markets including Canada, Mexico, and Australia,” says Wen Han, Founder, Chairman, and CEO, Windrose Technology.
By combining Windrose’s globally scalable truck platform with Xos’s flexible mobile charging infrastructure, the partnership aims to deliver a turnkey solution for electrified freight. Together, the companies are accelerating the shift toward zero-emission logistics.
