Capitan Silver provided an update on its Cruz de Plata silver-gold project in Durango, announcing that recent surface exploration has significantly expanded the mineralized system, identified six new high-priority targets, and nearly tripled the known length of mineralized vein structures on the property. Among the discoveries is the Casco Norte target, where a grab sample returned a high-grade value of 4,291.2g/t AgEq.

Following the recent consolidation of its land package in August 2025, a surface exploration campaign has increased the cumulative strike length of known silver-mineralized vein structures from 7km to over 20km. Capitan Silver's exploration team has also developed a new geological thesis, identifying a large granodiorite intrusion as a key feature for locating mineralization. "What began as a handful of isolated silver targets has expanded into a much larger mineralized system. The new detailed geological map and surface sampling highlights how robust the Cruz de Plata system can be, while immediately giving us multiple new targets to aggressively move to a drill-ready stage," commented Alberto Orozco, CEO, Capitan Silver.

Among the discoveries is the Casco Norte target, where a grab sample returned a high-grade value of 4,291.2g/t AgEq, and the Jesus Maria Northwest target, which returned a sample of 2,268.1g/t AgEq and extends the main Jesus Maria zone by approximately 800m.

In response to these positive results, the company also announced it is expanding its fully funded Phase One Drill Program by 50%, from 10,000m to a total of 15,000m. To date, over 8,000m have been completed, and assay results for 38 of those drill holes are currently pending. To further advance targeting, Capitan Silver has also commissioned the project's first property-wide airborne geophysical survey.
