During the fourth panel of Mexico Mining Forum 2021, panelists discussed the current situation of their mining operations in Mexico, where they agreed that the country has offered favorable conditions. Dean McPherson Global Head of Mining at the TMX Group, noted that ESG criteria have been brought back to the forefront and that investors are now demanding miners to demonstrate that their operations are as sound as they can be. “We believe that we have an obligation to make people’s lives better,” said Stephen Orr, CEO of Gatos Silver.
