Prismo Metals has provided an update on its exploration program at its Palos Verdes project in Sinaloa, highlighting that despite facing weather and maintenance issues, the drilling program is progressing well. In addition, the company announced that samples of the first batch have been sent for analysis and the results are expected to be received soon.

The company announced it has successfully drilled 560m in two core holes out of the planned 2,000m, despite the intense rain and mantenetance issues. The first batch of samples have been sento to the international laboratory SGS in Durango, with the results expeted in two weeks.

The drilling program seeks to study the Palos Verdes vein and the intersection with a second vein to confirm if there are large ore reserves. The drilling program is currently focused on a second hole and is expected to last around two and a half months. Highlights of previous drilling include the intersection  “2,336 g/t Ag and 8.42 g.t Au over a true width estimated at 0.8 meters within a larger mineralized interval with 1,098 g/t Ag and 3.75 g/t Au over a true width of 2.3 m.” The company previously told MBN that since the Palos Verdes property is contiguous to Vizsla Silver's Panuco project, the company expects to find similar reserves.

Los Palos Verdes drilling planned for 2022 includes 5-7 HQ diameter core holes, a minimum of 2000m drilled, testing veins at depth, exploring the new Northweist vein and advancing environmental permitting to drill more parts of the vein.

In an interview with MBN, Craig Gibson, Director, President and CEO, Prismo Metals, said “our goal for 2022 is to complete the first exploration mapping and sampling program over most of the surface, as well as identify major targets. We have already started the work and have just recently finished our second mapping period, for which we should see some results soon. This will give us an idea of the additional work required over the next few months. We expect to have the project in a drill-ready state within 1H22 and to drill it in 2H22.”

Prismo Metals is a growth-stage exploration company focused on the acquisition and development of high-grade silver and gold projects in North and South America. The company is currently developing the precious and base metals projects Palos Verdes and Los Pavitos.
