Ford Mexico and VEMO have joined forces to improve the charging experience for Ford EV owners through a new strategic partnership. As part of the collaboration, new Ford EV buyers will receive a credit of up to MX$5,000 (US$256) to use on the VEMO Charging Network (VCN). This benefit is valid for 12 months upon activation via the Watts by VEMO mobile app.

“This partnership with Ford represents a vote of confidence in the impact and quality of our network. It also marks a milestone on our shared journey toward a more accessible electric mobility future,” says Roberto Rocha, Co-Founder and CEO, VEMO.

With over 1,000 public connectors spread across 16 states and located in key urban areas, VCN plays a vital role in enabling EV adoption. By ensuring access to high-powered, dependable charging stations, Ford and VEMO are addressing one of the main barriers to EV ownership in Mexico.

“One hundred years ago, Ford arrived in Mexico to kickstart the automotive industry. Today, with a clear vision for the future and the belief that strong partnerships are essential, we are redefining mobility alongside VEMO. By combining our cutting-edge electric vehicles with their expansive charging network, we are offering Ford owners a superior EV driving experience and leading the way to a more sustainable future,” says Lucien Pinto, President and CEO, Ford Mexico.

Through the Watts by VEMO app, Ford EV owners will be able to locate compatible chargers, select the appropriate station, access various payment methods, receive online support, and track their charging history.

Ford Mexico offers two electric vehicle models: the E-Transit electric van, with a range of up to 202km and the Mustang Mach-E, an all-electric muscle car offering up to 465km of range.

“This partnership with Ford validates our expertise in electric mobility and marks another step toward a future with fewer emissions and cleaner air. Our mission remains clear: to accelerate the adoption of clean mobility across Latin America,” says Germán Losada, Co-Founder, President, and COO, VEMO.

VEMO highlights in its press release that according to the Electromobility Barometer Association, Mexico’s public and private charging infrastructure grew by 5.3% in the 1Q25 compared to the end of 2024, reaching a total of 47,456 operational connectors.
