Logistics expert Hound Express announced it will significantly increase its operations following the projected 50% surge in sales during the year's final quarter. The company forecasts a boost in sales due to the "Buen Fin" and year-end festivities, leading it to implement a contingency plan to respond to the expected rise in demand.

Through a press release, Hound Express highlighted the need to align its operational capacity with user demand during crucial sles periods such as Buen Fin, Black Friday, Christmas, and the New Year. These periods of high demand are leading logistics operators to adjust their capabilities to meet the escalating order volumes, says Berardo Flores, Business Development Manager, Hound Express.

Hound Express forecasting a seasonal growth of between 45% and 50% for the last quarter of 2023. Thus, it is adjusting its workforce, fleet and equipment to handle the surge in demand. The company also implemented plans and risk assessments, acknowledging that challenges intensify as peak demand dates draw near.

Hound Express has shifted 95% of its operations from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) as part of its growth strategy. This relocation aims to allow the company to plan optimal routes, minimize delivery times, reduce costs, and enhance punctuality. The company has also doubled the capacity of its warehouses in Laredo, Texas, and opened new facilities in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.

About 80% of Hound Express' clients operate in the retail sector, 10% in the technology sector, 5% in home products, and the remaining 5% in various other categories.
